Car for Sale
1970 and 1/2 Chrysler 300 Hurst $75,000.00
For Sale to a good home.
I own a Chrysler 300 Hurst and in 1970 the car looked
like this.
My car was taken off the road in 1974. It suffered an
accident but the owner at the time secured every new piece of trim he could
buy. I bought the car in pieces in 1996. Over the years I have tried to
bring this restoration to showroom condition. Firstly I wanted the car to be
painted in Base/Clear. Yes, 14 coats! No enamel for me. I wanted everything
painted. Inside and out.
Now everything is new. Brake lines. Gas lines, Gas
Tank, Shocks, Brake pads, Bearings etc.
Oh Yeah! I have to mention that the engine is not
stock. The serial number is correct but it was upgraded to full 6-Pak
status. Pistons, Rods, and bearings. 10.5:1 compression Ratio. This car
will rumble.
Another thing I did was to protect the leather seats.
No other survivor has original seats like mine. Just look at the pictures.
The car is a jewel. Only 485 made in 1970 and maybe 50
still exist. This is the only Frame-off restoration I know of. Everything is
original except the paint and the engine. Most of the trim came right out of
the Chrysler packages.
