We recommend that you send all your interior plastic restoration plating work to Instrument Specialties. They handle the complete service package where they have your parts plated and detailed back to factory specifications and can even repair your gauges if they need it. At this time they do not offer plating for exterior pieces.

Instrument Specialties has a reputation for providing quality work so when you are pricing around you need to take that into consideration. Some restoration plating shops do not detail the pieces which can be the most labor intensive part of the job. Do yourself a favor and do not base your decision on where to send your parts on price alone. Make your decision based on being informed about who is going to provide you with the best qualilty for your dollar and their reputation as judged by past customers.
Call or email Mike at Instrument Specialties for more information. You can find all their contact information by clicking on this link

WONDERING WHERE TO SEND YOUR PLATING TO NOW?

After over 15 years of being in business we regret to advise that CV Custom Finishes Inc. (formerly CV Vacuum Platers Inc.) is now closed. We have had the privilege of being part of thousands of restoration projects over the years and we thank all our customers for their support and greatly appreciated your business. We had hoped to weather this tough economic climate but it has unfortunately taken it's toll on us and we had no choice but to come to this conclusion.

We wish you well and much success and happiness in the future.
Sincerely, Chuck and Jean Vanderbyl
FOR COLLECTOR CAR PLATING
Mueller Corporation, located in the USA, is where we recommend you send any larger volume/production type vacuum metallizing jobs. This would be plating on new plastic pieces for interior use. You can find their contact information by clicking on this link www.muellercorp.com
FOR PRODUCTION TYPE PLATING
Valley Powdercoat, located in Canada, is the company who purchased our vacuum chamber and the PC Chrome technology that we developed. PC Chrome is a process that uses powder coat and vacuum metallizing to produce a chrome look finish on metal. They are not set up to do the plastic restoration plating at this time but can plate smaller exterior plastic parts. For more information about the services they provide, you can contact Warren at 604-850-2464 or email him at warren@valleypowdercoat.com.
If you decide to send your parts to Instrument Specialties, Mueller Corporation or Valley Powercoat tell them you were referred from CV Custom Finishes because they have promised to take care of all our valued customers. Please email me and let me know how your experience was because we want to know that you received the same quality, care and attention that you would have expected to receive from us.

Thanks and if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us and we'll try to help!
